TG EAPCET, still searched as TS EAPCET, is the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. It decides admission to first-year engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and related courses in Telangana, and JNTU Hyderabad runs it for the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). If you are planning for 2027: TG EAPCET 2027 had not been announced when we checked on 20 October 2026. The official site, eapcet.tgche.ac.in, still showed the 2026 cycle, when applications opened on 19 February and the Engineering test was held from 9 to 11 May 2026.

  1. Read the detailed notification and the instruction booklet for your stream.
  2. Pay the registration fee online. In 2026 it was ₹900 for one stream (₹500 for SC/ST and PH) and ₹1,800 for both streams (₹1,000 for SC/ST and PH), as shown on the official site.
  3. Check your payment status, then fill in the application: stream, qualifying-exam details, category and test-zone preferences.
  4. Upload your photograph and signature and submit.
  5. Print the filled-in application. Use the correction window if one is opened.
  6. Download the hall ticket when it is released.

B.Arch is not part of TG EAPCET; the booklet points architecture candidates to NATA. Some agriculture and veterinary courses have age limits printed in the A and P booklet.

Exam pattern

Engineering stream Questions Marks
Mathematics 80 80
Physics 40 40
Chemistry 40 40
Total 160 160
Agriculture and Pharmacy stream Questions Marks
Botany 40 40
Zoology 40 40
Physics 40 40
Chemistry 40 40
Total 160 160
  • Four responses, one correct, one mark each. No negative mark for a wrong answer; a blank scores 0.
  • One countdown timer for the whole test; you can move between subjects at any time. No calculators.
  • Papers differ between sessions, so marks are normalised, using the session mean and standard deviation and the mean of the top 0.1%.
  • Ranks use the normalised TG EAPCET marks only. In the Engineering stream, ties go to normalised Mathematics, then Physics, then the older candidate.
  • To qualify you need 25% of the maximum marks on the normalised marks; there is no minimum for SC and ST candidates.

TG EAPCET syllabus

The syllabus follows the Telangana Intermediate course and is published as a PDF for each stream.

  • Mathematics: functions, induction, matrices, complex numbers and De Moivre's theorem, quadratic expressions, theory of equations, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, partial fractions; trigonometry including hyperbolic functions and properties of triangles; vectors; dispersion, probability, binomial and Poisson distributions; 2D and 3D coordinate geometry; calculus to differential equations.
  • Physics: units and measurement, motion, laws of motion, work and energy, rotation, oscillations, gravitation, properties of matter, thermodynamics, waves, optics, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, EMI, AC, EM waves, dual nature, atoms, nuclei, semiconductors, communication systems.
  • Chemistry: atomic structure, periodicity, bonding, states of matter, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, s-, p-, d- and f-block elements, metallurgy, environmental chemistry, solid state, solutions, electrochemistry, kinetics, surface chemistry, organic chemistry to biomolecules and polymers.
  • Botany and Zoology (A and P only): plant diversity, physiology and genetics; animal diversity, human physiology, genetics and evolution.

A plan for the months that are left

If 2027 follows 2026, the test is in early May, a little over six months away.

Period What to do
Now to January Finish second-year Intermediate and revise first year, chapter by chapter against the syllabus PDF. One full 160-question mock a fortnight.
February to the Intermediate exams Boards first. One timed mock each weekend. Apply as soon as the form opens.
After the board exams Three full mocks a week at your session time, then revision from your error log.

You have 180 minutes for 160 questions, about 67 seconds each. In the Engineering stream, Mathematics is half the marks and decides ties, so give it the most practice. There is no negative marking, so answer every question before time runs out. See how to use mock tests and how to analyse a mock test.
