A new paper each time: twenty multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes, including five on Australian values, with a pass of 15 out of 20 and all five values questions right.
- One clock of 45 minutes, the standard sitting. An eligible assisted sitting is 90 minutes and uses the same pass rule; this form uses 45.
- At a Department sitting the computer draws 20 questions at random and five of them are on Australian values. This test does the same from every question on this site for the test: each sitting is a new paper of 20 with five on values, those you have not seen and those you got wrong first.
- You pass only with at least 15 out of 20 and with all five values questions right. A strong score on the other questions does not repair a missed values question.
- Each question has three answers and one mark. A wrong or blank answer scores nothing. There is no further deduction.
- Questions ask about the office, not the name of the person who holds it today.
