MAH-MBA/MMS CET is the entrance test the State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra uses for the first year of the two-year full-time MBA and MMS in the state's government, university and unaided management institutes. The question most candidates have now: the CET Cell has not announced MAH MBA CET 2027 yet. As of 20 October 2026, cetcell.mahacet.org lists only the 2026 brochure. For 2026, the Cell held two attempts, from 6 to 8 April 2026 and on 9 May 2026. This guide covers how the test works, how to apply when the form opens, and a plan you can start now.

MAH MBA CET 2027 exam date

Item Status as of 20 October 2026
CET 2027 information brochure Not yet published
Registration Not yet open
Test dates Not announced

For reference only, the 2026 cycle ran like this, according to the CET Cell's notices: the brochure was published in January 2026, the first attempt was held from 6 to 8 April 2026 in several shifts, and the second attempt on 9 May 2026. A candidate who sat both was considered on the better of the two percentiles. Whether 2027 keeps two attempts will be in the new brochure.

The 2027 brochure and registration notice will appear on the CET Cell's CET page. Our MAH MBA CET exam-dates page will add the dates once the Cell publishes them.

How to apply for MAH MBA CET

The 2027 form is not open. When it is, the brochure on the CET Cell site sets the steps; the 2026 process was:

  1. Read the information brochure on the CET page, including eligibility and the fee for your category.
  2. Register on the CET Cell's online portal with your own mobile number and e-mail address.
  3. Fill in personal, category and academic details.
  4. Upload your photograph, signature and the documents the brochure lists.
  5. Pay the fee online and print the application.
  6. Download the admit card when it is released, and check the date, shift and centre.

Keep ready: graduation mark sheets (or proof of final-year study), category and domicile documents if they apply, and a photo ID. The score is only the first step: seats are filled through the Cell's separate centralised admission process, with its own document checks.

MAH MBA CET exam pattern

From the CET 2026 brochure:

Section Questions Marks
Logical Reasoning 75 75
Abstract Reasoning 25 25
Quantitative Aptitude 50 50
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension 50 50
Total 200 200

All four sections share one 150-minute clock, and the brochure says you may attempt any question at any time. That is 45 seconds a question.

Is there negative marking in MAH MBA CET? No. A wrong answer and a blank both score 0. So the rule is simple: answer every question. In the last two minutes, mark an option for anything you have not reached.

Results are percentiles worked out across shifts, not raw marks. There is no pass mark; admission depends on the percentile and the centralised process.

MAH MBA CET syllabus

The brochure names these topics:

  • Logical Reasoning (75): the brochure lists it as verbal or critical reasoning. At 75 questions, it is the biggest section.
  • Abstract Reasoning (25): figure questions, where you find the rule in a set of problem figures and choose the answer figure.
  • Quantitative Aptitude (50): arithmetic, ratio and proportion, percentage, algebra, mensuration, geometry, and tables, graphs and charts.
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (50): passages, grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms and antonyms.

Our MAH MBA CET syllabus page lists the topics in more detail. On our practice tests, Abstract Reasoning is written as patterns of symbols and letters, because the site cannot draw figures; practise real figure series from the brochure's samples as well.

A plan for the months before MAH MBA CET

The 2026 attempts were in April and May. If 2027 follows a similar timeline, you have about five months; use the first three to build speed and the last two for mocks.

Period What to do
Now Take one full MAH MBA CET mock test. Count how many of the 200 you reached in 150 minutes.
November–December Logical Reasoning daily: 30 questions in 20 minutes. Quant fundamentals three times a week. One passage a day.
January Abstract Reasoning: 15 minutes a day of figure series. One full mock every week. Read the 2027 brochure the day it appears and register.
February–March Two mocks a week, each analysed (how to analyse a mock test). Fix a section order that suits you, and keep it.
Last two weeks One mock every three days, revision, admit card, centre.

The reasoning and Quant work also prepares you for CMAT, held earlier in the year; see the CMAT 2027 guide.
